Cordyline fruticosa ‘Red Sister’
This is a long-lived broadleaf evergreen that features thin lance shaped leaves (up to 30″ long and 6″ wide) that emerge pinkish red, but mature to deep green. Scented, white to pale lavender flowers appear in panicles (up to 12″ long) in summer and are followed by red berries. When grown as a houseplant, however, this plant rarely fruits or flowers.
Light: Bright, indirect light.
Water: Water when top 1 to 2 inches of soil have dried out.
