Lactuca sativa
‘Buttercrunch’ is a vigorous grower with a creamy yellow interior, buttery flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture, pleasing palates since 1963. Small heads are perfect for a single-serve salad. The compact size makes it a good container variety, and it’s also attractive in the flower-garden border. Botanical Interests’® Buttercrunch Butterhead Lettuce Seeds are USDA Organic and verified by The Non-GMO Project.

What is an heirloom seed?
An heirloom variety is one that has been passed down from generation to generation. Generally, the variety must have been around for at least 50 years. They are open-pollinated, which means they have been exposed to natural pollination methods like insects or winds. They aren’t hybrids or genetically modified.
