Tropical Chinese hibiscus thrive in the USDA plant hardiness zones 9 and 10, but are also perfect patio plants in the summertime with cooler temperatures. Indoors in the winter they will still bloom flowers. Many of these forms grow no taller than 5 to 6 feet tall.
