An attractive elephant ear plant that grows 5–6′ tall on long, dark stems. The foliage are bright green leaves that contrast against its dark, near-black veining and stems, and grows upright into the shape of cups that hold rain water. When the cups fill up, the stems lean over and pours the water out then springs back to collect more rainfall. This plant loves water, and can be planted in a pond, submerged by water. It is a fast growing plant, and can grow well in shade gardens, borders, or in patio containers. Likes full sun to partial shade, and zones 7b-10.
