Calathea makoyana ‘Peacock Plant’
Calathea makoyana, also known as a Peacock plant and Cathedral Windows, is often found as part of indoor collections. A species of prayer plants, it has pale green ten-inch long leaves with darker lines and large dark green ovals that resemble a feather. Those patterns on the underside are pink-purple. Calathea plants prefer high humidity at a level of 60 percent or more. Providing a humid environment is the key to optimum performance.
Light Requirements: Bright, indirect light.
Water Requirements: Water when top few inches of soil is dry.
