‘Ace 55′ has an excellent, fresh tomato flavor and is a lower-acid tomato. An old favorite for canning, 5″–6″ diameter, 6–8 ounce fruits are just the right size to quarter and pack into jars. Yields are exceptional; as a determinate type, the majority of the fruits ripen over a 1-2 week period. In areas with a long growing season, sow in succession. Frost-sensitive plants grow up to 36″ tall and 18″ wide. Botanical Interests’® Ace 55 Bush Tomato Seeds are USDA Organic and have been verified by The Non-GMO Project.

What is an heirloom seed?
An heirloom variety is one that has been passed down from generation to generation. Generally, the variety must have been around for at least 50 years. They are open-pollinated, which means they have been exposed to natural pollination methods like insects or winds. They aren’t hybrids or genetically modified.
