Allium fistulosum
These Japanese scallions are ideal for summer and fall harvests, as they are heat tolerant; they are also disease resistant against pink root and smut. This onion is a perennial in USDA zones 6-9, although it is often cited as not as hardy as other cultivars, and is often grown as an annual. These slender plants grow up to 16″-18″ tall with bluish-green tops that to around 1.5″ wide if given ample space. Botanical Interests’® Tokyo Long White Bunching/Scallion Onion Seeds have been verified by The Non-GMO Project.
