Antirrhinum majus

The ‘Night and Day’ snapdragon is a spicy scented, visually striking cousin of the ‘Black Prince’ snapdragon. When the weather cools in fall, its dark red petals turn nearly black and its foliage turns dark burgundy, enhancing the contrast with its lower white jaws. A perennial in USDA zones 5 and warmer, although usually grown as an annual. Plants grow up to 18″ tall, 12 wide, and produce flowers that bloom the best in cooler weather. Prefers full to partial sun exposure. Attracts pollinators and is deer resistant. Botanical Interests’® Night and Day Snapdragon Seeds have been verified by The Non-GMO Project.

Outdoors: In cold climates, sow 4-6 weeks before your average last frost date or as soon as soil can be worked. In mild climates, sow in late summer to early fall for winter and spring bloom.
Indoors: Sow 8-10 weeks before your average last frost date.
