Lomelosia caucasica

With long stems and beautiful shades of white, lilac, and blue, Isaac House Blend is outstanding in bouquets. The blossoms appear as fragile as summer snowflakes, but this is a tough, fairly drought-tolerant, very hardy plant with few pests or diseases. Scabiosa blooms for an exceptionally long time in the garden compared to other flowering perennials, and is very attractive to bees and butterflies. A perennial in USDA zones 3-7. Plants grow up to 18″-24″ tall, 18″ wide, and produce flowers that bloom from summer to frost. Prefers full to partial sun exposure. Attracts pollinators and is deer resistant. Botanical Interests’® Isaac House Blend Scabiosa Pincushion Flower Seeds have been verified by The Non-GMO Project.

Outdoors: Sow 1-2 weeks after your average last frost date.
Indoors: Recommended for first season blooms. Sow 6-8 weeks before your average last frost date. Ideal soil temperature for germination is 65°–70°F.

What is an heirloom seed?

An heirloom variety is one that has been passed down from generation to generation. Generally, the variety must have been around for at least 50 years. They are open-pollinated, which means they have been exposed to natural pollination methods like insects or winds. They aren’t hybrids or genetically modified.
