Cucumis sativus

A gardener’s favorite since 1894 but hard to find in grocery stores, this unusual, eye-catching, lemon-sized cucumber has excellent flavor and is a great slicer or pickler. It is scrumptious eaten with the skin and all just like you would an apple; non-bitter and burpless. Plants are more drought tolerant than other varieties. Vines grow to around 3′-6′ long. Botanical Interests’® Lemon Cucumber Seeds are USDA Organic and verified by The Non-GMO Project.

This packet sows up to 15 feet of trellised cucumbers.

65 days to maturity.

Outdoors: Sow 1-2 weeks after your average last frost date, and when soil temperature is at least 60°F, ideally 70°–90°F.
Indoors: Sow 2-4 weeks before your average last frost date. Cucumbers are sensitive to root disturbance.

What is an heirloom seed?

An heirloom variety is one that has been passed down from generation to generation. Generally, the variety must have been around for at least 50 years. They are open-pollinated, which means they have been exposed to natural pollination methods like insects or winds. They aren’t hybrids or genetically modified.
