Zea mays (hybrid)
Summertime and corn on the cob go together. Nothing tastes better than just-picked sweet corn! ‘Sugarbaby’ is a bicolor corn that matures in 65 days—an advantage in areas with a shorter growing season. Flavorful, 8″ ears with 12–16 rows of very tender kernels hold their sweetness and flavor longer than other varieties. Good cool weather endurance. Plants grow up to 6′ tall.
This packet sows up to 24 feet.
65 days to maturity.
Outdoors: Sow 1-2 weeks after your average last frost date, and when soil temperature is at least 60°F; ideally 65°–90°F.
Indoors: Not recommended, as roots are sensitive to transplanting. Best results occur when seedlings are transplanted less than 2 weeks old.
