Celosia spicata
Also called wheat celosia, these colorful plants add a lovely vertical element to the flower border and make a statement when grown in a large container. The pretty, rosy-pink, soft flower spikes have an intriguing texture that nearly begs passersby to reach out and touch them. A frost-sensitive perennial that is hardy in USDA zones 10 and warmer. Plants grow up to 24″-30″ tall and produce 5″-8″ tall flowers that bloom from summer to frost. Prefers full sun exposure.
