‘Royal Burgundy’, has delicious purple pods that are easily found among the backdrop of green foliage. It grows better than other varieties in cool weather and is unlikely to be damaged by bean beetles. A good disease resistant container variety.
This packet sows up 13 feet.
55 days to maturity.
Outdoor: Sow 1-2 weeks after your average last frost date, and when soil temperature is at least 65°F, ideally 70°–85°F.
For Successive Sowings: Sow every 7-14 days up to 80 days before your average first fall frost date. In very hot summer areas, skip sowing if temperatures are consistently above 90°F, as this will prevent beans from forming.
Indoors: Not recommended.
