Daucus carota
‘Dara’ adds a soft, airy, elegance to the garden and fresh or dried flower arrangements. It is also called ornamental carrot or false Queen Anne’s lace. ‘Dara’ is a low-maintenance annual, and not at all aggressive like true Queen Anne’s lace. Fairly drought tolerant once established, but flowers best with regular moisture. Plants grow up to 36″-50″ tall, 18″ wide, and produce flowers that bloom from summer to frost. Prefers full sun exposure. Botanical Interests’® Dara Ammi Seeds have been verified by The Non-GMO Project.
Outdoors: Sow 1-2 weeks before your average last frost date.
For Successive Sowings: Sow every 2-3 weeks for continuous bloom.
Indoors: Sow 4-6 weeks before your average last frost date. Roots are sensitive to disturbance; sow in biodegradable pots and transplant before the taproot becomes crowded.
