Reporting to the Head Cashier, cashiers are primarily responsible for processing sales and returns and providing a positive final impression to customers as they complete their shopping.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Process sales and returns on a point-of-sale register
  • Schedule deliveries
  • Provide information as needed to customers regarding prices, loyalty program, check policy, and more
  • Other related duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills with customers and employees
  • Able to work independently and also be a team player
  • Flexibility in all areas, including but not limited to: work schedule, duties and responsibilities, extreme weather conditions, etc.
  • Able to count money and make change, having a good knowledge of basic mathematics
  • Able to type alphanumeric characters accurately
  • Must be organized

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • No criminal record; must pass a screening related to money-handling

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift, pull, push 50+ pounds
  • Able to stand for an extended period of time
  • Able to work in all types of weather

Reporting to the Hard Goods Department Head, the delivery driver will be responsible for completing local deliveries in either a pickup truck (sometimes with a trailer attached) or dump truck, depending on the need of the order. Dependability is a key characteristic we’re looking for in this role.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complete deliveries as scheduled and on time
  • Make sure all items for the delivery are accounted for, including loading bulk orders of soil or mulch into the dump truck
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Assist the rest of the Hard Goods Department as needed

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Able to drive a manual transmission single-axle dump truck
  • Able to operate heavy machinery, including a forklift and skid steer
  • Able to work independently and also be a team player
  • Must be reliable and detail-oriented
  • Flexible in all areas, including but not limited to: work schedule, duties and responsibilities, extreme weather conditions, etc.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience operating heavy machinery
  • Clean driving record

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift, pull, push at least 75 lbs
  • Able to stand and sit for an extended period of time
  • Able to work in all types of weather

Reporting to the Hard Goods Department Head, Hard Goods Sales Associates assist customers as they shop and ensure a positive customer service experience. They will also help unload and organize inventory and complete other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Able to operate heavy machinery, including a forklift and skid steer, or be willing and able to learn
  • Willing to quickly learn about plant diseases, weeds, fertilizers, and other plant care topics
    • Candidates with previous plant care knowledge will be give priority
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and employees
  • Able to work independently and also be a team player
  • Flexibility in all areas, including but not limited to: work schedule, duties and responsibilities, extreme weather conditions, etc.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year in a nursery setting preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift, pull, push at least 70 lbs
  • Able to sit or stand for an extended period of time
  • Able to work in all types of weather

Reporting to the General Manager, the landscape designer is responsible for designing and drawing appropriate landscaping plans. They are expected to have extensive plant knowledge, to maintain a working relationship with local landscapers, and to be professional and courteous at all times.

A portfolio of previous work is required to be submitted with your application.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create landscape designs based on customer input and the needs of the plants
  • Stay up to date on current landscape trends and methods, and effectively implement current design strategies
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with local landscapers while monitoring their quality of work in order to make appropriate recommendations to customers
  • Organize and oversee landscaping projects from start to finish to ensure proper execution
  • Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Able to draw creative landscape designed for a variety of landscape situations
  • Knowledge of general mathematics and construction codes
  • Understanding of long term landscape maintenance
  • Must be self-motivated and have attention to detail
  • Flexibility in all areas, including but not limited to: work schedule, duties and responsibilities, extreme weather conditions, etc.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in an equivalent role – a portfolio of previous work is required to be submitted with application
  • Previous grading and topography experience
  • Excellent computer skills, including previous experience with landscape design software
  • Previous experience with point-of-sale systems

A sales associate will assist customers as they shop and ensure a positive customer service experience. They will also help unload and organize inventory in their department and complete other duties as assigned.

We are currently hiring sales associates for the following departments: Greenhouse, Hard Goods, Market, Trees & Shrubs. This is currently a seasonal position, but there is the potential for longer term employment.
